A source close to the production revealed, “Sandese Aate Hai is the soul of Border, and the producers have left no stone unturned to get the rights for a record sum. It's among the highest price that a producer has spent to recreate a melody.” This substantial investment underscores the producers' belief in the song's integral role in the sequel's success and its potential to evoke the same powerful emotions as the original.

The updated version, ‘Sandese Aate Hai 2.0’, is expected to stay true to the themes of hardship, patriotism, and the emotional struggles endured by the Indian Army, much like its predecessor.
