The 33-year-old daughter of Boney and late Mona Shourie Kapoor recently got engaged to her longtime partner, Rohan Thakkar, and shared the heartwarming news on July 3 via social media.

Soon after Anshula dropped the announcement post featuring dreamy snapshots from the proposal, her proud father commented, “God bless you both, waiting anxiously for you guys to come back and celebrate the engagement in your hometown at my house (sic).” The post captured the hearts of fans and family members alike, as Anshula poured her emotions into the caption, giving everyone a glimpse into their beautiful journey.

The couple’s love story is one that blossomed over time. Revealing that their bond started through a dating app, Anshula shared, “What started as a late-night conversation at 1:15 a.m. went on until 6 in the morning, and the rest, as they say, is history.” Since 2022, the two have grown together in love and understanding, and the proposal turned out to be just as magical.

“I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales... but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better. Because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us. I said yes. Through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words,” Anshula wrote. “Since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person. Adding a touch of nostalgia, she revealed that their first meal post-engagement had to be Shake Shack — a nod to their first conversation that revolved around their shared love for the chain’s iconic shroom burger. “IYKYK,” she quipped.
