Producer Boney Kapoor has hinted at the possibility of collaborating with his daughter, Khushi Kapoor, for a film, with discussions underway for a potential sequel to Mom, the acclaimed movie that starred his late wife and legendary actress Sridevi.
Currently gearing up for his upcoming production, No Entry Mein Entry, Boney Kapoor was present at the 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, held in Jaipur on March 8 and 9.
Speaking to reporters on the green carpet, the 69-year-old filmmaker shared that he has watched all three of Khushi's films, including her latest project, Nadaaniyan. His remarks have further fueled anticipation about Khushi's journey in the industry and the prospect of her taking forward her mother’s cinematic legacy.
"I have watched Khushi’s all three films Archies, Loveyapa, and Nadaaniyan and now I am planning a film with her too. Besides No Entry Mein Entry, there would be a film with Khushi, and it could be Mom 2," the producer said. He also noted that Khushi Kapoor is striving to follow in her mother Sridevi’s footsteps as she carves her own path in the film industry.
The 2017 crime-thriller Mom, directed by Ravi Udyawar, featured Sridevi, Sajal Ali, Akshaye Khanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Reflecting on his children’s careers, Boney Kapoor expressed admiration for their talents, acknowledging his elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s acting journey, as well as the accomplishments of Arjun Kapoor and social media personality Anshula Kapoor, from his first marriage with the late Mona Shourie Kapoor.

Boney further said, "Her mother was a top star in all languages; she had worked in multiple languages. Khushi and Janhvi have succeeded at the same level, and the perfection they have… My son Arjun has done a variety of roles – comedy, romantic, he was a villain in Singham Again…Anshula has immense talent too, and she is doing well. It’s only me who is struggling, so wish me luck that my struggles end. I get all the success that I am looking for. I have been struggling for the past 50 years; I have been working for the past 52 years, so please pray for me and wish me luck."
Boney Kapoor also shared updates about his upcoming production, No Entry Mein Entry, the sequel to his 2005 hit romantic-comedy No Entry. He revealed that the film is scheduled to begin production between July and August. The sequel will feature Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles, while the names of the female leads will be announced soon.
