The much-anticipated war drama Border 2 has taken its promotional campaign to the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer, where the team unveiled a deeply emotional track titled “Ghar Kab Aaoge” in the presence of BSF jawans and military personnel. The song launch — set against the historic Longewala and Tanot region backdrop — has struck a chord for its patriotic resonance and heartfelt tribute to soldiers and their families.
The track, which is a reimagined version of the original classic from the 1997 film Border, features performances by Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh. It was unveiled by the film’s cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, alongside producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta. The launch event, attended by BSF personnel, underscored the song’s emotional connection to the armed forces.
Before the official launch of the complete audio-visual project "Ghar Kab Aaoge" at the Tanot Mata temple in Jaisalmer, Varun, Ahan, and Sonu convened at the Bawliyanwala Border. During their visit, they engaged in meaningful discussions regarding music and cinema with the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel. Ahan captioned the post with the phrase “Hum hai kyunki voh hai,” which translates to “We are, because they are.” Notably, Suniel Shetty, Ahan's father, expressed his approval by commenting with a heart emoji.
Suniel Shetty shared a picture on Instagram on Friday and wrote, “They say a picture is worth a thousand words… but I don’t have the words for this. I only know what I feel. I grew up watching my father be part of Sandese Aate Hain. Today, I find myself a part of Ghar Kab Aaoge. Somewhere between then and now, life quietly came full circle. This isn’t about a song or a project, it’s about time, love, and a quiet gratitude I’ll carry it with me forever. A song that carries the unspoken emotions of every soldier, and the silent prayers of every family waiting back home.”
Border 2 is set to release on January 23, 2026.
