Rani Mukerji was Ranbir Kapoor’s co-star in his debut film Saawariya, and he credits her with giving him confidence when he needed it most.

Recalling that formative phase, he said, “Rani is the co-star of my first film Sawaariya and she is the first person who told me that if I worked hard, I would go a long way. I will never forget that interaction because it gave me so much confidence when I needed it the most. I have seen her as a person closely, I have seen her work closely and have been bowled over by her grace, charm and brilliance.”

Watching the industry rally around Rani Mukerji now fills Ranbir Kapoor with pride. He added, “It is really amazing to see the entire industry come forward to celebrate 30 years of her iconic legacy. I have always felt that Rani is one for the ages, one of the greatest ever actors in India and someone who has defined our industry through her work. Beyond awards and acclaim, Ranbir Kapoor believes Rani Mukerji’s greatest achievement lies in the joy she brings to audiences. He shared, “Thank you Rani for the movies, the memories, the nostalgia and the powerhouse performances. She is an entertainer who has dedicated her life to make people happy and I don’t have words to describe the impact her films have had on me.”

At the same time, excitement around Mardaani 3 continues to build. The third chapter of the acclaimed franchise has already sparked intense online discussion for its bold and socially relevant theme.

Staying true to the spirit of the series, the film will focus on crimes against women, this time highlighting the kidnapping of young girls aged eight to nine years from low-income communities across India.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 carries forward the legacy established by Mardaani and Mardaani 2.
