Mahesh Bhatt reveals nickname of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter Raha and its meaning

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's daughter Raha has become one of the most loved star kids in the Bollywood industry. Alia's father and veteran director Mahesh Bhatt recently revealed the child’s family nickname, what does the name mean and how is she getting her own space on film sets.

With nicknames like Chintu, Chimpu and Daboo, the Kapoor family is known for giving children cute nicknames.

Mahesh Bhatt recently disclosed to News 18 when asked about the nickname for Raha, he said, " We call her Rahu or Raha. It means the sound that elder makes. But essentially, she is still called Raha."

The director in an interview with Humans of Bombay also talked about his granddaughter having a separate vanity van with her own space on film sets.

He further shared about Alia's recent visit to Milan for a high-profile fashion event, with her daughter accompanying her.

The director also talked about the commercial he shot with Amitabh Bachchan and Alia. He said, "I noticed there was a vanity set up for Raha. Alia said, 'Why don't you go and sit in Raha's room, Papa?' I didn't want to disturb it. It felt like a nursery and almost looked like a temple."

The filmmaker said, "But that's the way new-age heroines are - they work, parent and attend high-profile events all while carrying their babies with them."

Previously, Mahesh Bhatt visited 'The Actors Truth' which is an acting institute owned by Saurabh Sachdeva. The director praised Saurabh for his craft saying, “I would want to work with him. I loved him in that frightening film Vadh, omg it was stunning.”
