The report suggests that Ali Abbas Zafar was “blown away” by Ahaan Panday’s emotional depth in Saiyaara. Known for mixing drama with scale in films like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, the director is said to be returning to the romance-action space that first brought him critical acclaim.

“Ali wanted to go back to his roots… he was convinced Ahaan Panday could pull off the balance of romance and intensity,” a source was quoted as saying.

Aditya Chopra, who is closely involved in the project, reportedly recommended Ahaan Panday for the role. He believes Ahaan’s fresh presence on screen could add “an element of surprise” and help the film connect with audiences.

The insider added, “Adi and Ali will unlock a different side of Ahaan Panday’s acting by putting him into a world where passion, romance, and action meet hard-hitting drama.”
