Hollywood actress Blake Lively, who was recently entangled in a legal drama with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, has bagged a new project.
Film studio Lionsgate announced on Thursday, August 21, that they have acquired a new movie featuring Blake in the lead. The movie is titled The Survival List, with Blake also serving as a co-producer. The upcoming film is touted as an action rom-com written by Tom Melia.
According to People, the official synopsis of the film reads, “Against her wishes, highbrow reality TV producer Annie is assigned to a new show hosted by famous survival expert Chopper Lane.”
The synopsis continued, “However, when a shipwreck strands them on a deserted island, Annie discovers Chopper is a fraud and knows nothing about survival, leaving her in charge of figuring out how to keep them alive. Forced to work together, they begin to discover an unlikely chemistry.”
The Survival List will be a comeback project for Blake Lively following her lawsuit with Justin Baldoni. She sued Justim in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation. Justin has denied the accusations. Justin later accused Blake of making threats to pressure him into relinquishing creative control of the film.
However, the trial is slated for March 2026.
Since the release of It Ends With Us in August 2024, Blake has only made one appearance. She reprised her role as Emily Nelson in the 2018 film Another Simple Favor, which had its world premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in March.
