In the teaser, Jennie surprises fans with her striking red hair and a visually arresting concept. The video showcases a dual persona—one Jennie towering over another, evoking a puppeteer-puppet dynamic. Both figures are identically dressed, hinting at themes of introspection and control. The teaser concludes with, "Money cannot buy no real friends."
The aesthetics are enhanced by Jennie merging with natural elements like fire and light, adding a mysterious and ethereal touch to the album’s concept.
Jennie’s Ruby boasts collaborations with six international artists, adding global flair to the 15-track album. Childish Gambino, the multi-talented actor, rapper, and singer brings his unique artistry to the project. Doechii, the rising rapper-singer adds a bold edge to Jennie’s music. Dominic Fike, known for his experimental sound, Dominic adds diversity to Ruby. Dua Lipa, the pop icon reunites with Jennie for a highly anticipated track. FKJ, the French multi-instrumentalist promises smooth and genre-bending vibes. Kali Uchis, the Colombian-American songstress adds her signature dreamy style.
The album also includes Jennie’s hit single, Mantra, released in October 2024.
