Veteran actor Aasif Sheikh, best known for his role in the popular TV sitcom Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, recently gave his fans and family a major scare. The actor collapsed on March 16 while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film in Dehradun. He reportedly complained of a searing pain on the left side of his body before fainting on set.

The incident left his family, friends, and team deeply worried. Aasif was rushed to a nearby hospital and later brought back to Mumbai for further treatment and observation.

Speaking about the incident and his current health status, Aasif shared, “I am okay now, but full recovery will take a few more days. I am being administered injections every alternate day and have been advised complete bed rest.”

He further opened up about what led to the sudden collapse. “I think my body just gave up due to exertion. I already had slip-disc issues, and that, along with sciatic nerve pain, made my left leg totally numb,” he explained. “On that day, I couldn’t take the pain anymore and phir kya hua, I don’t know.”

The actor’s condition required immediate medical attention, and he is currently under strict observation. Doctors have advised him to undergo an MRI scan to get a clearer picture of the severity of his condition. Despite the health scare, Aasif remains optimistic and is hopeful about returning to work soon. “Hopefully, I will be back in another couple of days,” he said.

The upcoming film Aasif is shooting for is based on his long-running television show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, where he has played the iconic character of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra for several years. His fans, who adore him for his comic timing and versatility, have flooded social media with prayers and well wishes for his speedy recovery.

Despite his health troubles, Aasif’s spirit remains unbroken. Known for his professionalism, the actor has rarely taken breaks from work, which could be a contributing factor to his current state. “Exertion builds up silently when you keep going without listening to your body,” a source close to the actor said.

As Aasif focuses on rest and recovery, the television and film fraternity, as well as his fans, are hoping to see him back on his feet and doing what he does best — entertaining the audience with his sharp wit and stellar performances.
