In November 2022, the movie Double XL, featuring Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha, was released.

The film included a special appearance by Shikhar Dhawan, sparking curiosity and eventually leading to rumours of a romantic connection between Dhawan and Qureshi.

Social media was soon awash with photos and videos suggesting that the two were dating, and some even went as far as to claim they were married, based on misleading YouTube thumbnails.

However, the truth behind these viral photos tells a different tale. Contrary to the rumours, Shikhar Dhawan and Huma Qureshi have not taken any pictures together.

The images circulating on social media are AI-generated and do not depict real interactions between the two.

Previously, similar doctored images have fueled false rumours about other celebrities, such as cricketer Mohammed Shami and tennis star Sania Mirza.

Reportedly, Huma Qureshi is currently dating her acting coach, Rachit Singh. The couple was even seen together at actress Sonakshi Sinha's wedding earlier this year.

Shikhar Dhawan, who has shown an interest in acting, might pursue it professionally in the near future. His appearance in Double XL was well-received.
