But post production of the film and incomplete patchwork have pushed the release. Also director Krish and production house UV Creations have not announced a new release date yet.

What's interesting is that Anushka will appear in two films this year. After Ghaati, her Malayalam project Kathanar: Part 1 will release across pan India languages. It is a big budget film based on a 9th-century Christian priest named Kadamattathu Kathanar. The film is being made in two parts. The sequel will be released in 2026.

Anushka is said to play a powerful character named Kaaliyan Kattu Neeli in Kathanar and the role is expected to hold key importance in the story. Fans are excited to see her in a role with depth and strong screen presence.
