Akaay, who was born in February 2024, and his elder sister Vamika, celebrated this special Indian festival in London, where Anushka is currently staying with her cricketer husband and their children.

Rakshabandhan, a festival that honors the bond between brothers and sisters, was marked with a touch of tradition and personal flair in the Sharma-Kohli household.

On August 19, 2024, Anushka shared a glimpse of this intimate celebration through her Instagram stories. The post showed two beautifully handcrafted rakhis that Vamika tied on her brother Akaay's wrist.

These rakhis, shaped like a car with buttons and googly eyes on top, were a charming reminder of the innocence and joy of childhood. Anushka captioned the post with a simple yet heartfelt “Happy Raksha Bandhan” along with two pink heart emojis, reflecting the love and warmth of the moment.

This was the first time fans got to witness such a personal moment between the siblings, and while Anushka shared this sweet glimpse, she continued to respect her children's privacy by not revealing their faces.

The picture, however, captured the essence of the celebration—filled with color, creativity, and the pure joy of a sibling bond.

Anushka, who has been away from films for a while, has remained active on social media, often sharing snippets of her life with her followers. Earlier, she had posted a picture of Akaay and Vamika enjoying popsicles. In that post, the tiny hand of Akaay was visible for the first time, much to the delight of her fans. The couple, who got married in a fairy-tale wedding in Lake Como, Italy, in 2017, has always been protective of their children’s privacy. Their first child, Vamika, was born in January 2021, and since then, Anushka and Virat have been very careful about not exposing their children to the media frenzy. Even now, despite sharing moments from their family life, they maintain a balance between their public persona and their private world.

As for Anushka’s professional front, after her last appearance in the film “Qala” in 2022, she has been relatively quiet.
