Ankita Lokhande has opened up about a topic she’s clearly grown weary of — the constant questions about when she and her husband Vicky Jain are planning to have a baby.
As per News18, du uring a recent media interaction at Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the actress was asked — yet again — about pregnancy rumours. This time, she didn’t hold back. In a video that’s now doing the rounds on social media, Ankita can be seen politely but firmly asking the press to stop bringing it up.
“Main na sach bol rahi hu, mujhe na yeh question bahut bore lagta hai. Mereko yeh sab mat poocha karo. Jis din hoga uss din btaungi. I really…I don’t want to entertain this, pregnancy waghera. Bahut zyada ho jaata hai, phir pressure feel hota hai parents banne ka (I’m honestly telling you, I find this question very boring. Please don’t ask me all this. The day it happens, I’ll let you know. I really... I don’t want to entertain this pregnancy and all. It becomes too much, and then I start to feel pressured to become a parent)” she said, adding that such questions can create pressure, even when unintentional.
Ankita and Vicky, who tied the knot in December 2021, have often been at the centre of speculation around starting a family. Ankita Lokhande has made a name of herself in the television industry and her husband Vicky is a businessman. Together, they’ve made popular appearances on reality shows like Bigg Boss 17 and Laughter Chefs.
In fact, the pregnancy rumours picked up even more steam after a playful moment on Laughter Chefs went viral. During an episode, Ankita jokingly said “Main pregnant hoon” while chasing Krushna Abhishek, who had stolen an ingredient from her. The light-hearted comment left everyone on set — and online — stunned.
Later, in one of their YouTube vlogs, the couple addressed the buzz with their trademark humour. Vicky joked, “News toh kaafi time se chal rahi hai, pregnancy when should be the question. Puri family lagi hui hai. Negotiations are on." To which Ankita added, laughing but clearly done with the speculation, “Baat cheet chal rahi. I am tired of the questions.”
While the couple continues to take the rumours in stride, Ankita’s recent comments are a gentle but clear reminder: sometimes, it’s okay to let people live their lives at their own pace.
