The much-awaited trailer for Prime Video's docuseries, Angry Young Men, was unveiled today. The documentary promises an in-depth exploration of the legendary writing duo, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. The event was graced by the presence of superstar Salman Khan, who is Salim Khan's son, among others.
During the launch, Salman eloquently expressed his admiration and respect for his father and his writing partner, offering heartfelt insights into their true personalities and the profound impact they've had on the film industry.
He said, "They have put their life's experiences what they have learnt from people around them what they have seen, what their parents have taught them, the way their children have grown up. So they have taken it from life and put it in cinema. Rest of the writers ne cinema se uthake cinema mein daala hai (rest of the writers have taken from cinema and put it in cinema.)"
The Ek Tha Tiger actor took a moment during the trailer launch to reflect on the changing dynamics of masculinity. Contrasting the present generation with the legendary duo of Salim-Javed, the actor expressed his belief that while men in today's world seem hesitant to embrace their masculinity, Salim and Javed epitomized the true essence of manhood, a characteristic he believes is timeless and unwavering. He stated, "God makes man, they don't want to be a man anymore. In our generation, nobody wants to be a man. These two here, my father and Javed Saab, they are men, still men because they want to be men."

Salman also gave due credit to Zoya Akhtar for initiating the idea of the docuseries. He said, "I think Zoya started this. Zoya and Farhan came to me and all of us and I think that is the best thing that could ever happen."
