Ananya Panday is gearing up for her next release, CTRL, a cyber-thriller directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The film is set to stream on Netflix from October 6, and ahead of its release, Ananya gave fans a sneak peek behind the scenes by sharing a series of photos on her social media.

Taking to Instagram, Ananya posted images of herself transforming into a character resembling Amol Palekar, teasing fans with the caption, “Why you may ask.. watch CTRL on Friday to find out.” Fans were quick to respond, with one writing, “Cutest man I have ever seen,” while another playfully commented, “Mini Chunky Panday.”

The trailer for CTRL was recently unveiled, introducing Ananya as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas. The two play a couple whose content creation journey has gained them a loyal online following, but the plot thickens when their relationship falls apart. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL dives into the theme of data privacy, exploring the question of how much of ourselves we should share in a digital world where data equals power, and what happens when we lose control of that information.

The trailer was released with the tagline, “CTRL your life. ALT your memories. DEL the baggage. CTRL is out on October 4, only on Netflix.”

Speaking about the film, director Vikramaditya Motwane shared, “CTRL has been a totally unique journey for me and the team. It’s told in what we call the ‘screen life’ format, which presents the story in an almost voyeuristic way, using the technology we interact with daily. Our goal was to create an immersive experience, and Netflix has given us the platform to bring this to a global audience.”

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Ananya Panday opened up about her own struggles, revealing, “My imposter syndrome comes from something as simple as when someone says my name. During interviews and stuff, I feel like my name isn’t really mine, and it makes me feel like a third person. That pushes me to suddenly become like someone else. When I see myself on a billboard, I feel like it’s not me that I’m looking at. The same thing happens when I watch one of my films. I watch them like an audience member and forget that it’s actually me on screen.”
