Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force targets Republic Day 2025 release

Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated action-drama Sky Force is gearing up for a Republic Day 2025 release. Also starring Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur, the film is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur and produced by Dinesh Vijan. With the filmmakers pushing to complete the project in time for the long holiday weekend, Sky Force is expected to make a strong impact.

Inspired by India’s first airstrike on Pakistan, the film blends action, drama, and patriotism, making it an ideal fit for a Republic Day release. The movie promises stunning visuals, enhanced by the Oscar Award-winning VFX team at DNEG.

According to reports, Sky Force is slated for a January 24, 2025 release, with the first trailer expected around Christmas. This marks Akshay Kumar’s return to the big screen after a six-month break following a string of box office disappointments. In addition to Sky Force, Akshay will have a supporting role in Rohit Shetty’s star-studded Singham Again, featuring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor.

Interestingly, Sky Force may face competition as Sunny Deol’s highly anticipated film Jatt, directed by Gopichand Malineni, is also rumored to be eyeing a Republic Day 2025 release. This potential box office clash is already generating buzz among fans and the industry.
