Aditi Rao Hydari recently opened up about a deeply personal and special moment in her life—the day Siddharth proposed to her. In a heartfelt revelation, Aditi shared the details of how Siddharth chose to propose at a place that held immense significance for her: a school started by her grandmother in Hyderabad.

Aditi, known for her roles in various Bollywood and South Indian films, shared with Vogue that Siddharth had carefully planned the proposal to align with her emotional ties to her grandmother.

She mentioned that she was very close to her maternal grandmother, who had passed away a few years ago, saying, "I was closest to my nani, who passed away a few years ago. She started a school in Hyderabad." The school, which her grandmother founded, was a place filled with memories for Aditi, making it a perfect location for such a pivotal moment in her life.

Siddharth, understanding the sentimental value the school held for Aditi, asked her if he could visit the school with her. According to Aditi, he wanted to see the place because he knew how much it meant to her. “One day, Siddharth asked me if he could see it, knowing full well how close I had been to her,” she recalled. During their visit to the school in March, Siddharth requested Aditi to show him a special location close to her heart. She chose a floor above the nursery section, a place filled with fond memories.

The proposal itself was filled with a mix of humor and emotion. Aditi narrated how Siddharth, known for his playful nature, would often pretend to get down on his knees, only to tie his shoelaces or fidget with something on the ground. This time, however, was different. Aditi recounted, “He got down on his knee and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’” But Siddharth, with sincerity in his voice, kept saying, “Addu, listen to me.”

It was at this moment that Siddharth proposed. He explained that he wanted to bring her to her favourite childhood place, one that had her grandmother's blessings. “And then he proposed. The connection between Aditi and Siddharth began in 2021 on the sets of the Telugu film "Maha Samudram." Aditi fondly recalled their first meeting, sharing that Siddharth made quite an impression on her and everyone else on set. "He walked in and said, ‘Hello, beautiful girl’. Usually, when someone says something like this, it does not work. But he was being genuine. By the end of the day, he had me and pretty much everyone on the set in splits," she laughed. Siddharth’s charm and sincerity seemed to win everyone over, and he even went the extra mile by ensuring that Aditi and her team were well taken care of. “He also ensured that my team and I had ghee idlis whipped up by his cook every day for the rest of the shoot,” she added.

Reflecting on their relationship, Aditi shared her thoughts on how they might have been destined to meet and fall in love, regardless of the time or place. "The actress believes that even if they had met as teenagers, they would still fall for one another," the article notes. Aditi herself said, “I’ve not been in too many relationships because when I see someone, I instantly know if this is my person. When I met Siddhu, that’s what I felt and had no doubt about it.”

For Aditi, meeting Siddharth was an instant connection. She expressed that there was no need for a prolonged process of understanding or growing together, as is often the case in relationships. “Of course, there is a process of growing together in a relationship but I had none of that going on in my mind when I met him, it was all about that moment,” she explained.

The couple is set to tie the knot later this year in a ceremony that promises to be intimate and meaningful. The wedding will take place around a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy, a location of great significance to Aditi’s family. The choice of venue for both the proposal and the upcoming wedding clearly reflects the deep emotional connections that play a vital role in Aditi and Siddharth's relationship.
