Abhinav Shukla on participating in Bigg Boss 14 while having marital issues with Rubina Dilaik: ‘We would not speak for three to four days…’

On Indian television, Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik are among the most well-liked couples. Abhinav talked about a number of life stages in an exclusive podcast with Pinkvilla, including difficult times, a career that wasn't doing well, and marital issues with his wife, Rubina Dilaik.

The actor talked candidly about his initial response upon seeing Rubina and the development of their friendship.

According to the Chhoti Bahu actor, he first spotted Rubina during a friend's Ganapati celebration. The actor said, "Wow!" at first sight, expressing his surprise. He talked about how they both felt a connection when he approached Rubina for a photo session. Although Abhinav acknowledged that he started the romance, he gave Rubina credit for bringing it to a more serious and significant stage.

There will always be disagreements, but they can be worked out, Abhinav acknowledged. He disclosed how they would quarrel and go two or three days without speaking.

He said, “There will be differences of opinion. I always say to Rubi (Rubina Dilaik) that the belief system in people comes from two streams. One from our parents and the other from the society. It also comes from religion. Even I have a belief system, and I am steadfast with that. I believe that a particular thing has to be done in a certain way, and she has a different perspective. We used to argue so much that we went without talking for two to three days. Now I have realised that there is a way around it.”

The 42-year-old further discussed how his relationship with Rubina evolved. “Now we are mature enough. If there is a difference of opinion, it gets resolved the same day or the very next day. Things are good,” he told the publication.

Abhinav was asked why he participated in Bigg Boss during a time when his marriage to Rubina Dilaik was struggling.

He expressed, “When we gave our nod, we had no idea in which way our relationship would go. Will the friction between us increase or decrease? But one thing is certain that we both have each other’s back. So maybe we thought it was a test. We survived that.”
