52nd International Emmy Awards: When and where to watch the awards show in India

The 52nd International Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, November 25, 2024, in New York City, hosted by actor-comedian Vir Das as he becomes the first Indian to do so. The awards, organized annually by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS), will celebrate global television excellence.

The 2024 International Emmy Awards will feature 56 nominees from 21 countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, India, France, and others. According to the official announcement, the event will take place on Monday, November 25, and will be available for streaming in India on Tuesday, November 26.

When and Where to Watch the Awards

The 52nd International Emmy Awards will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City on November 25. The event will air from 5 pm to 11 pm (EST), and in India, viewers can catch the broadcast from 3:30 am to 9:30 am (IST) on Tuesday, November 26.

The awards will also be available for global streaming on iemmys.tv.

The nominations for the 52nd International Emmy Awards span 14 categories, including Arts Programming, Best Performance by an Actor, Best Performance by an Actress, Comedy, Documentary, Drama Series, Kids: Animation, Kids: Factual & Entertainment, Kids: Live-Action, Non-Scripted Entertainment, Short-Form Series, Sports Documentary, Telenovela, and TV Movie / Mini-Series.

International Emmy Awards Nominations

The nominees for the Arts Programming category are a diverse group: Robbie Williams from the United Kingdom, Who I Am Life from Japan, Pianoforte from Poland, and Virgilio from Argentina.

The Best Performance by an Actor category is equally competitive, featuring Timothy Spall (The Sixth Commandment) from the UK, Haluk Bilginer (Sahsiyet – Season 2) from Turkey, Julio Andrade (Betinho: No Fio da Navalha) from Brazil, and Laurent Lafitte (Tapie) from France.

In the comedy category, contenders are Daily Dose of Sunshine from South Korea, Deadloch from Australia, División Palermo from Argentina, and HPI – Season 3 from France.

For Best Drama Series, the nominees are Les Gouttes de Dieu (France), The Newsreader – Season 2 (Australia), The Night Manager (India), and Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido – Season 2 (Argentina).

The documentary nominees include L’affaire Bettencourt from France, Otto Baxter: Not a F**ing Horror Story from the UK, The Exiles from Singapore, and Transo from Brazil.

Additional categories at the 2024 International Emmy Awards include Non-Scripted Entertainment, Short-Form Series, Sports Documentary, Telenovela, TV Movie/Mini-Series, and Kids' Programming, with nominations coming from broadcasters around the world.

Speaking of Indian shows nominated for Emmy's, actor Aditya Roy Kapur’s debut OTT series, The Night Manager, has earned India’s sole nomination at the 2024 International Emmy Awards, being selected in the Best Drama Series category. Aditya flew to New York on Saturday to join his team for the ceremony.
