Asha Devi, mother of Nirbhaya, the victim of the 2012 Delhi gang rape case, expressed that it still feels like 2012 and questioned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's handling of doctor’s rape and murder case. She criticized Banerjee, saying, “Mamata Banerjee is protesting to divert people's attention from this issue. She herself is a woman. She should have taken strict action against the culprits while discharging her responsibility as the head of the state.”
