The Nayab Singh Saini-led Haryana Government won the Floor Test in the State Assembly on March 13, a day after he took charge as the Chief Minister.
Saini's government presented a vote of confidence in the Assembly to demonstrate its majority. With favorable numbers on its side, the Saini government clinched a comfortable victory in the confidence vote, just a few weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections.

The 53-year-old Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra in Haryana's Lok Sabha, formally met with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on March 12 to assert his claim to lead the government in Haryana.
Prior to that, former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet tendered their resignation to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya amid reports of a rift in BJP's alliance with JJP on March 12.
In addition to the 41 MLAs from the ruling BJP, the government enjoys backing from six Independent MLAs and Gopal Kanda of the Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP).
