The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the registration deadline for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2025. Candidates who wish to apply for the Civil Services (Prelims) Exam and Indian Forest Service (Prelims) Exam can now complete their applications by February 18, 2025. The application process is available on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

• Extended Application Deadline: February 18, 2025 (until 6:00 PM)
• Correction Window: Opens on February 19, 2025, and closes on February 25, 2025

Initially, the last date for submitting applications was February 11, 2025. With the extension, candidates have an additional week to complete their registration.

Step 1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2. Click on the Civil Services Prelims registration link available on the homepage.

Step 3. Create a One-Time Registration (OTR) profile if not already done.

Step 4. Log in to the OTR portal and complete the application form.

Step 5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form.

Step 6. Download the confirmation page and keep a printed copy for future reference.

• General category candidates: Rs. 100
• Female, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates: Exempted from fee

This year, the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2025 will be conducted to fill approximately 979 vacancies across various administrative and allied services.
