Merely checking the result is not the final step. The KEA has mandated that all candidates who have been allotted a seat in this first round must actively exercise one of four specific choices. This decision is binding and must be made within the stipulated deadline.

According to the official notification, candidates must log in to their portal and select from the following options:

Choice 1: Accept the allotted seat and report to the assigned college.

Choice 2: Accept the allotted seat but indicate a willingness to participate in the next round of counselling for a potential upgrade.

Choice 3: Reject the currently allotted seat but remain eligible for the second round of counselling.

Choice 4: Reject the allotted seat and withdraw from the entire counselling process.

Important Note: The KEA has explicitly stated that candidates who fail to select any option within the given timeline will automatically forfeit their allotted seat without further notice. It is highly recommended to take a printout of the finally submitted option form as proof.

Fee Payment and Reporting Schedule: Key Dates

For candidates selecting Choice 1 or Choice 2, the following payment and reporting schedule is critical:

Fee Payment Window: The prescribed admission fee must be paid online between October 6, 2025, and October 8, 2025.

Reporting to Colleges (Choice 1): Candidates who opt for Choice 1 must physically report to their allotted college along with all required original documents and the downloaded confirmation slip by October 9, 2025.

Guidance for Candidates Without a Seat Allotment

Applicants who did not receive a seat allotment in Round 1 need not take any immediate action. They should await the commencement of the second round of counselling. The KEA will announce a fresh schedule for option entry for subsequent rounds on its official website, and eligible candidates will need to confirm their participation at that time.

Essential Documents for College Reporting

Candidates reporting to their allotted institutes must carry the following original documents for verification, along with a set of self-attested photocopies:

  • PGCET 2025 Application Form printout
  • PGCET 2025 Hall Ticket/Admit Card
  • GATE 2025 Scorecard (for applicable candidates)
  • Two recent passport-sized colour photographs
  • SSLC/Class 10 Marksheet (for proof of date of birth)
  • Class 12/2nd PUC Marksheet
  • Qualifying Degree Marksheets and Degree/Provisional Certificate
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC, etc., if applicable)
  • Income Certificate (for those claiming a fee waiver)
  • Work Experience Certificate (for Part-Time ME/MTech/MArch programs)

The Karnataka Examinations Authority will soon publish the detailed schedule for the second round of option entry and seat allotment. All candidates are advised to monitor the official KEA website regularly for the latest updates and announcements to ensure a smooth admission process.
