The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) is set to begin its Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations 2025 tomorrow, February 10th. Students appearing for the crucial exams are urged to take note of several important guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

The exams will commence daily at 9:30 am. The GBSHSE has advised all candidates to arrive at their designated exam centers by 9:00 am, allowing ample time for entry procedures. Late arrivals will be penalised, with candidates arriving more than 30 minutes after the exam's start time being disqualified from that particular subject. No candidate will be permitted to leave the examination hall before 12:00 noon.

Carrying the admit card, or hall ticket, is mandatory for every exam day. Students without their hall tickets will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. The board has also strictly prohibited the use of any unfair means during the examination. Any candidate found resorting to cheating or other malpractices will face disqualification.

The GBSHSE recently released the seating arrangement notice on its official website, which students are advised to check. The examination process will begin with the English Language paper on February 10. The exams will conclude on February 24, with a range of subjects scheduled for the final day, including Business Administration, Banking-II, Marketing Management, and several vocational subjects.

Plan Your Journey: Familiarise yourself with the location of your exam center and plan your travel accordingly, accounting for potential traffic or other delays. Leave home early to ensure you reach the center by 9:00 am.

Carry Your Admit Card: This is the most crucial document. Ensure you have it with you well before leaving home. Keep it in a safe and easily accessible place.

Permitted Items: Only essential items like pens, pencils, erasers, and a transparent water bottle (if allowed) should be carried. Check the official GBSHSE guidelines for a definitive list of permitted items.

Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, electronic devices, calculators (unless specifically permitted for a subject), study materials, notes, and any other items that could be considered unfair means are strictly prohibited. Leave these items at home.

Dress Code: Adhere to the dress code prescribed by the GBSHSE. Avoid wearing any attire that could be considered inappropriate or suspicious.

Seating: Once inside the exam hall, locate your designated seat and settle down quickly.

Listen to Instructions: Pay close attention to the instructions given by the invigilators. Clarify any doubts before the exam begins.

Read the Question Paper Carefully: Before starting to write, take a few minutes to read the question paper thoroughly. Understand the instructions, the marking scheme, and the time allocation for each section.

Manage Your Time: Allocate your time wisely for each question. Don't spend too much time on a single question if you are struggling with it. Move on and come back to it later if time permits.

Maintain Exam Hall Decorum: Maintain silence and discipline inside the exam hall. Do not engage in any conversation or disruptive behaviour.

Stay Calm and Focused: Try to stay calm and focused during the exam. If you feel anxious, take a few deep breaths to compose yourself.

Report Any Issues: If you encounter any problems during the exam, such as a faulty question paper or a disruptive invigilator, report it to the authorities immediately.
