The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the online application process for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026, marking a crucial step for aspirants seeking Master's degree admissions across India.

Prospective students aiming for postgraduate courses in central universities, state universities, and other participating institutions can now submit their CUET PG 2026 applications. The single-window exam serves as a gateway to numerous Master's programs nationwide. The registration link is active on the official portal: exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.

Key Dates for CUET PG 2026 Aspirants

Candidates must carefully note the following schedule to ensure a smooth application process:

  • Application Start Date: December 14, 2025
  • Application Deadline: January 14, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
  • Fee Payment Last Date: January 14, 2026
  • Correction Window: January 18 to January 20, 2026 (until 11:50 PM)
  • Tentative Exam Month: March 2026
Step-by-Step Application Process & Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requires candidates to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or be in their final year of graduation.

The application involves a two-step process:

Initial Registration: Visit the official website to register and generate login credentials.

Form Filling: Use the provided login ID and password to access and complete the detailed application form. Applicants must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and relevant certificates (like category or PwBD certificates) as part of the submission.

Exam Structure & Application Fee Details

The CUET PG 2026 will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted across 292 Indian cities and 16 international centres. The exam, offered for 157 subjects, will be held in three shifts, with a duration of 90 minutes per paper.

The application fee structure is as follows:

  • General/Unreserved: Rs 1,400 for two papers + Rs 700 for each additional paper.
  • OBC-NCL / EWS: Rs 1,200 for two papers + Rs 600 for each additional paper.
  • SC / ST / Third Gender: Rs 1,100 for two papers + Rs 600 for each additional paper.
  • PwBD: Rs 1,000 for two papers + Rs 600 for each additional paper.
  • Candidates Outside India: Rs 7,000 for two papers + Rs 3,500 for each additional paper.

CUET PG standardizes the admission process for postgraduate programs, providing equal opportunity to students from diverse educational backgrounds. By reducing the burden of multiple university-specific exams, it simplifies the journey to securing a seat in prestigious institutions.
