CSIR UGC NET 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notification for the CSIR UGC-NET June 2025 examination. Candidates aiming for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS), Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions can now apply online via the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in.

The application process began on June 3, 2025, and the last date to submit the form is June 23, 2025 (11:59 PM). The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on July 26, 27, and 28, 2025.

CSIR NET June 2025: Eligibility Criteria1. Age Limit

For JRF: Maximum 30 years (as of July 1, 2025).

Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates: Up to 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 3 years.
  • For Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
2. Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must hold an M.Sc. or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
  • Final-year students can also apply, provided they complete their degree before the admission process.
CSIR NET June 2025: Exam Pattern

The exam consists of five subjects, each divided into three parts:

Part A (General Science) – 20 MCQs (15 to be attempted).

Part B (Subject-specific MCQs) – 40 MCQs (35 to be attempted).

Part C (Higher-order analytical questions) – 60 MCQs (25 to be attempted).

  • Total Marks: 200
  • Duration: 3 Hours

Negative Marking: Yes (0.5 marks deducted for each wrong answer in Parts A & B; 0.75 for Part C).

How to apply for CSIR NET June 2025?

Step 1. Visit the Official Website: csirnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2. Click on "New Registration" and fill in basic details.

Step 3. Enter personal, academic, and exam-related details.

Step 4. Upload recent passport-size photograph (10–200 KB, JPG/JPEG) and signature (4–30 KB, JPG/JPEG).

Step 5. Choose the preferred payment method.

Step 6. Save the final submission page for future reference.

Important Points to Remember

- Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple submissions will lead to rejection.

- Correction Window: Open from June 25–26, 2025 for minor edits.

- Admit Card: Expected to release in July 2025 (exact date to be announced).
