NTA has released the CMAT 2026 provisional answer key, question papers and responses at cmat.nta.nic.in. Candidates can raise objections till 2 February 2026 by paying Rs 200 per question.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026. Along with the answer key, the question papers and recorded responses of candidates have also been made available. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check and download these documents from the official website, cmat.nta.nic.in.

The CMAT 2026 examination was conducted by NTA on 25 January 2026 in a single shift through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in the country. A total of 53,453 candidates appeared for the examination.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections within the given time period by paying a processing fee. The answer key challenge window will remain open from 31 January 2026 to 2 February 2026, up to 11:50 PM. The last date to make the payment for raising objections is also 2 February 2026, up to 11:50 PM.

To challenge a question, candidates need to pay a fee of Rs 200 per question. This fee is non-refundable. Payment can be made using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. No challenge will be accepted without successful payment of the processing fee.

How to Raise Objections to CMAT 2026 Answer Key

Candidates can follow the steps below to challenge the provisional answer key:

  1. Visit the official website cmat.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the link ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’
  3. Log in using Application Number, Password, and Captcha
  4. Click on ‘View Question Paper’ to check marked responses and click on ‘Challenge’ to view the answer keys
  5. Select the Question ID to be challenged (Question IDs are not in sequential order, so candidates should check carefully)
  6. Under the ‘Correct Option(s)’ column, select the option believed to be correct
  7. Upload supporting documents as a single PDF file using the ‘Choose File’ option
  8. Click on ‘Submit and Review Claims’
  9. Use ‘Modify your Claims’ if required, or click on ‘Final Submit’
  10. Click on ‘Pay Now’ and pay Rs 200
  11. Claims will be saved only after successful payment

What Happens After the Objections Are Reviewed?

All challenges submitted by candidates will be examined by a panel of subject experts. If any challenge is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. The final CMAT 2026 result will be prepared based on the revised answer key. Candidates will not be informed individually about the acceptance or rejection of their objections.
