CBSE Class 10th & 12th Supplementary Exams 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results 2025 on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Along with the CBSE Results 2025, the board has also released important details regarding the CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 for Class 10 and Class 12 students. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the board aims to give students additional opportunities to improve their academic performance.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Who Can Appear?

As per the latest guidelines, the following categories of students are eligible to apply for the CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025:

  • Class 10 students who have failed in up to two subjects and Class 12 students who have failed in one subject and are placed under the compartment category.
  • Students whose result has been declared by replacing a subject (6th/7th subject rule) and want to appear for the failed subject.
  • Students from both Class 10 and Class 12 who have already passed but wish to improve their marks can also appear — in up to two subjects for Class 10 and one subject for Class 12.

CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 Schedule and Syllabus

The CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 are expected to be held in the first or second week of July 2025. The Board will release a detailed date sheet and application process soon on its official website — cbse.gov.in.

The supplementary exams will be conducted based on the same syllabus and curriculum that was used for the main board exams earlier this year.
