The CBSE Class 10 board exams in 2025 witnessed a significant increase in participation. A total of 19,299 schools took part in the examinations, up from 18,417 schools in 2024. Additionally, the number of exam centres rose to 7,330, compared to 7,126 centres last year.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 Board Exam Results 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 93.66%. This marks a marginal increase of 0.06 percentage points from 2024’s pass rate of 93.60%.

According to official data, a total of 2,38,50,796 students registered for the Class 10 exams this year. Of them, 23,71,939 students appeared, and 22,21,636 successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 93.66%.

In 2025, a total of 14,96,307 students passed the CBSE Class 12 examinations out of 16,92,794 who appeared.

In the CBSE Class 10 board examinations held in 2025, a total of 29,847 students from foreign schools had registered to appear for the exams. Of these, 29,745 students actually appeared, and 29,320 successfully passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 98.57%.

In 2025, the CBSE Class 10 examinations were conducted across a total of 7,837 centres, marking an increase from the 7,603 centres last year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to congratulate students who cleared the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. In his post, he wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to everyone who has cleared the CBSE Class XII and X examinations! This is the outcome of your determination, discipline and hard work. Today is also a day to acknowledge the role played by parents, teachers and all others who have contributed to this feat.”

As per the CBSE Class 10 results 2025, 45,516 students have scored above 95%, accounting for 1.92% of the total candidates. In addition, 1,99,944 students achieved more than 90%, making up 8.43% of all examinees.
