BPSC 70th CCE Re-Exam 2024: Admit Card Released Today for January 4 Re-Test

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the release of admit cards for the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (CCE) 2024 re-exam. The re-examination, scheduled for January 4, 2024, will only apply to approximately 12,000 candidates who appeared at the Bapu Campus Exam Centre in Patna on December 13, 2024.

BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai clarified that the examination for all candidates has not been canceled. Instead, the re-test is limited to those who experienced disruptions at this particular center. The new exam will take place at an alternate venue in Patna.

The decision to re-conduct the examination at this center follows protests by candidates alleging irregularities during the December 13 session. The incident escalated when a candidate was reportedly slapped by the District Magistrate of Patna, and a staff member on duty tragically passed away due to a heart attack. BPSC deemed the disturbances at the Bapu Campus Exam Centre as part of a deliberate conspiracy by certain individuals.

BPSC has issued show-cause notices to 34 candidates suspected of orchestrating the disruptions at the exam center. These individuals are required to respond by December 26, 2024, failing which the commission will take action based on the available evidence. Chairman Parmar assured that responses from the accused will be reviewed carefully before any decisions are finalized.

The commission reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring a fair re-test for affected candidates.
