The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department kicks off the much-awaited Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024 today, October 3. The exam will be conducted over a period of 19 days, concluding on October 21, to provide opportunities for aspiring teachers across the state.
Important Exam Day Instructions
Exam Schedule: The AP TET will be held in two daily shifts - 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates are advised to arrive at their designated exam centers 1.5 hours before their scheduled shift to avoid last-minute hassles.
Hall Tickets: The department has released the admit cards on the official website (aptet.apcfss.in) and candidates are required to download and carry a printed copy to the exam hall.
Help Centers: For any questions or clarifications, candidates can visit the help centers established at the offices of their respective district education officers.
Identification & Exam Materials: A valid, original photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID etc.) along with the admit card is mandatory. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and calculators are strictly prohibited within the examination hall.
Special Considerations: Candidates with disabilities (PwD) will be given an additional 50 minutes to complete the exam.
Missing Photo on Admit Card: If a candidate's admit card lacks a photo or the existing image is unclear, they must carry two passport-sized photographs for submission to the exam officials.
The AP TET 2024 was originally scheduled for August but was deferred to October to provide more preparation time for candidates. The provisional answer keys will be released progressively from October 4 onwards, with the final answer key expected by October 27\. The official results of the AP TET 2024 are anticipated to be declared on November 2nd.
Passing Marks
To qualify for the AP TET, candidates from the general category must secure a minimum of 60% marks. For candidates belonging to the Backward Classes (BC) category, the passing mark is 50%, while candidates from SC, ST, Differently Abled (PH), and ex-servicemen categories require a minimum of 40% marks.
