Oswal Agro Mills Ltd.

The company was incorporated on 14th December, 1979 and the
 certificate of commencement of business was obtained on 13th
 February, 1980. The company entered into an agreement with Oswal
 Woollen Mills Ltd., for the purchase of its two running solvent
 extraction plants along with land and building and other fixed assets
 and some of the current assets with effect from 1st July, 1980.
 
 The consideration was paid by the company in the following manner :
 
 (i) Issue of 125616 equity shares of Rs 10 each at par to Oswal
 Woollen Mills Ltd.
 (ii) Balance consideration as interest free loan.
 The company also became the owner of rights, patents, know-how,
 licences, etc., and trade names Oswal Solvent Extraction:, and Oswal
 Woollen Mills Ltd..
 The brand names used for toilet soaps are OASIS and KALPA.
 In June, 1983 the company set up a soya bean processing plant at
 Mandideep in M.P. with an annual capacity of 90,000 tonnes.
 In 1984-85, the Company set up an oxygen plant at Ludhiana. 
 In 1986-87, the Company took over a running sugar mill with 2,000
 tonnes per day capacity and a new plant with 60,000 TPA capacity was
 to be set up for the manufacture of industrial hard oils, fatty
 acids, stearic acids and glycerine. 
 The company acquired an existing petrochemicals and alcohol based
 complex in Bombay in August 1989. Commercial production in December,
 1989 followed petrochemical section in March, 1990.
 
 2008
 
 -Oswal Agro Mills Ltd has appointed Mr. Rajinder Pal Jolly as a
 Company Secretary of the Company in the month of August 2008.
 
 2013
 
 -M/s. Oswal Greentech Ltd. has taken controlling stake of 51% in M/s.
 Newsnation Network Pvt. Ltd. 
 
 2014
 
 -Mr. Anuj Sharma has appointed as an additional director on the Board
 of the Company.
