Noida man Vipin Bhati, who meticulously crafted a social media persona of a wealthy, influential bachelor, has been accused of murdering his wife, a crime that police sources suggest was motivated by her activity on the very platform he used to build his own image.
According to a TOI report, Vipin Bhati’s Instagram profile, under the handle ‘gurjar.6668’, presented a life of luxury and machismo, conspicuously omitting any trace of his domestic life. His feed was a curated parade of high-end SUVs, motorbikes, designer shirts and gold jewellery, all set to the soundtrack of Punjabi heartbreak songs and anthems celebrating Gurjar community pride.
His online identity was intrinsically linked to his prized white Scorpio, whose registration number formed part of his username. His display name, written in Hindi, read ‘Chaudhary Vipu Gurjar’. Pinned posts featured mirror selfies taken with an iPhone Pro Max and videos of him lip-syncing to lyrics such as "she was never mine."
Other content depicted him hurling a lit firecracker from a car roof and posing with what appeared to be case files inside a court, claims of a legal career that relatives have been unable to verify, TOI reported.
The report detailed a feed dominated by stylised shots of vehicles, slow-motion reels of him striding through malls and along highways and lyrics pinned to videos with lines like "this guy is a gangster, be aware." Despite occasional photos of his mother, his father and brother appeared just once. There was no public record of his wife, Nikki, or their five-year-old son. Instead, the account projected an image of a carefree bachelor lifestyle, filled with pool parties, club nights and "boys' trips".
The TOI further reported that Vipin’s profile hinted at political and police connections, with posts showing him alongside Loni MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar at rallies and posing with local officers.
This meticulously constructed digital façade allegedly hid a deeply troubled marriage. Police sources indicate that the couple’s relationship grew increasingly strained over their respective social media activities. "Vipin asked her to stop making videos, but Nikki continued," Dharmendra Shukla, the SHO of Kasna police station, stated.
Tensions reportedly came to a head just hours before the attack. Nikki and her sister-in-law, Kanchan, were involved in an argument with their mother-in-law, who had objected to a Reel they were recording in a makeshift "studio" set up within the family home. The domestic dispute culminated in the alleged fatal attack on Nikki by her husband, a brutal act that has torn the veil from his carefully curated online life.
