The CCTV footage shows the woman and the man walking on the road at around 3:27 am, when they crossed paths. As soon as the woman noticed the man, she raised her right hand, appearing to try to hit him.
The man, who was talking on the phone at that time, put his phone back into his pocket and then groped the woman.
The video shows the man grabbing the woman tightly and pulling her towards the side of the road. He then forced her to sit on a staircase near a building. Footage from another camera angle shows the man lifting the woman by holding her left hand and right leg. He walked a few steps with her before putting her down on the ground.
The woman tried several times to stand up and move away, but the man continued to stop her. He is seen pulling her down the staircase again. While walking back upstairs, the man started dialling someone on his phone. The woman followed him.
The man then hit the woman, who was crying, and continued to harass her. The woman is also seen pointing towards the building near where the incident took place, possibly asking for help.
The police said the accused took advantage of the darkness and the empty road to carry out the assault. Based on the CCTV footage, the police are currently searching for both the man and the woman involved in the incident.
