Newly obtained CCTV footage has revealed new details in the investigation of a Lamborghini collision that injured six pedestrians in Kanpur: private security bouncers were seen running at the scene immediately after the high-value car came to a halt.

The incident occurred on VIP Road in the Gwaltoli area around 3.15 pm on Sunday (8 February). According to officials cited by the PTI news agency, one CCTV clip shows the black Lamborghini Revuelto, a model valued at over Rs 10 crore, travelling before the collision.

A second video reportedly shows bouncers, allegedly hired by Shivam Mishra — the businessman’s son named in the investigation — running as soon as the impact happened and the vehicle stopped.

This visual evidence provides context to eyewitness accounts which stated that private bouncers accompanying the accused were present and allegedly misbehaved with the crowd that rapidly gathered around the wrecked sports car.

Their reported actions are said to have heightened tensions at the chaotic scene before police personnel arrived to secure the area, rescue the driver from the car and arrange for hospital treatment.

The six injured victims, who sustained fractures and bruises, have all been discharged from medical care. The vehicle, bearing a Delhi registration plate (DL 11 CF 4018), has been seized and sent for a mechanical inspection.

While a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against an unidentified driver for rash and negligent driving, police have named Shivam Mishra, the son of businessman KK Mishra, as part of the investigation.

No arrests have been made. Mishra’s legal representative has claimed his client was not driving, stating the Lamborghini was instead being operated by a hired driver. The family has also asserted that Mishra suffers from epilepsy, a claim that has prompted authorities to order medical tests.

The conduct of the private bouncers, captured in the immediate aftermath, forms a significant line of enquiry for investigators piecing together the full sequence of events.

In a related disciplinary move, Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal confirmed that the local station house officer, Santosh Gaur, has been removed from his post for failing to follow due procedure after the accident.
