A drunk driver rammed his Scorpio into multiple vehicles and pedestrians in Indore on Thursday, leaving four people injured, police said. The incident occurred in the busy MG Road area, where the accused, identified as Gajanand Malviya, allegedly hit several vehicles before crashing into a fabric shop.

Police said Malviya was found to be under the influence of alcohol during a medical test. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while bystanders reportedly thrashed the driver before police arrived. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the vehicle ploughing through traffic. Authorities have initiated further legal action.

MG Road police arrested Malviya, who was drunk and claimed to be a doctor. Police say he'll be presented in court.

In charge of MG Road Police Station, Vijay Singh Sisodia, speaking with ANI, said the incident occurred between the Municipal Corporation intersection and Chikmagalur intersection.

"A car driver hit 7 vehicles between the Municipal Corporation intersection and Chikmagalur intersection, injuring 4 people. The injured were treated at the hospital. The accused driver's name is Gajanand Malviya. He was tested and found to be drunk. Legal action is being taken in this matter", he said.
