In a shocking case of child brutality in Gurugram's DLF Phase 3, four minor children were allegedly held hostage, stripped naked and tortured by a group of men inside a paying guest (PG) facility on Monday.

The incident unfolded when the men seized the children suspecting them of planning thefts in a nearby under-construction building. The children were dragged into a room at the PG, where the men allegedly stripped them, burnt them with hot spoons and poured petrol on their private parts, according to a PTI report.

Police arrested two of the accused following a complaint lodged on Tuesday; the FIR targets five to six individuals, with searches underway for the rest.

One victim's mother sparked the rescue after returning from work to find her 12-year-old son missing. While searching, she met another woman whose two children had also vanished.

"(While looking for kids) we got information that at a PG, some persons had locked about three to four children in a room and beaten them," the complaint stated. The women rushed to the PG, where they discovered their children plus one more held captive by the group.

The men abused the frantic mothers when they demanded release, but relented after persistent pleading, freeing the minors, the complaint added. This desperate intervention spared the children further harm amid the gruesome torture already inflicted.

In a parallel probe, police have filed an FIR against a woman and her sons for allegedly torturing a 13-year-old domestic help — physically and sexually assaulting her with iron rods and starving her — though no arrests have occurred as investigations proceed.
