Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday announced that it will fully pass on the benefits of the recent GST rate reduction to its customers. The revised prices will come into effect from September 22.
After the GST rate rationalisation, customers can expect price drops across various cars and SUVs in Toyota’s portfolio. The Fortuner will get cheaper by up to Rs 3.49 lakh, while the Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross will see reductions of up to Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh, respectively.
The Vellfire is set to become more affordable by Rs 2.78 lakh, and the Hilux pickup by Rs 2.52 lakh. Popular models like the Camry (Rs 1.01 lakh cut), Legender (Rs 3.34 lakh), Urban Cruiser Hyryder (Rs 65,400), and Glanza (Rs 85,300) also get substantial benefits after the GST rate rationalisation.
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at TKM, said: “We sincerely thank the Government of India for this historic reform. It has not only enhanced affordability for customers but also strengthened overall confidence in the auto sector. Ahead of the festive season, we expect this step will provide strong momentum and further accelerate demand.”
Wadhwa added that Toyota remains committed to making world-class mobility solutions more accessible and sees the reform as a catalyst to spur demand and contribute to India’s inclusive growth journey.

Earlier, the GST Council has approved a major restructuring of tax rates for automobiles, with the revised slabs set to take effect from September 22, coinciding with the start of Navaratri.
Under the new structure, smaller vehicles — petrol, LPG, or CNG cars with engines below 1,200 cc and up to 4,000 mm in length, as well as diesel vehicles up to 1,500 cc and within 4,000 mm — will now attract 18% GST.
Larger vehicles, defined as petrol cars above 1,200 cc or diesel cars above 1,500 cc with a length exceeding 4,000 mm, will be taxed at 40%, the Council decided.
