Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ base variant at Rs 11.49 lakh. What does it offer?

The Tata Sierra 2025 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). As of now, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has revealed the price of only the entry-level variant of the new 5-seater SUV. The complete pricing will be announced next month.

So far as trims are concerned, the Tata Sierra 2025 has seven -- Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. Let us find out what the Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ has in store for buyers at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ specifications

The Smart+ trim of the Tata Sierra 2025 has two engine options -- 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol (106PS of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque) and 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel (118PS of maximum power and 260/280Nm of peak torque). While the petrol unit can be paired either with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCA, the diesel unit gets 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic options.

However, the base variant at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) will get you 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol with a 6-speed MT.

Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ features

The Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ trim offers a practical feature set for an entry-level variant. On the outside, it comes with Bi-LED projector headlamps, Light Saber LED DRLs and taillamps, LED turn indicators and follow-me-home headlamps. You also get electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, flush door handles with welcome lights, an electric tailgate release and a dual-tone roof.

Inside, the Smart+ variant keeps things functional with a 4-inch digital cockpit, rear AC vents, a front sliding armrest with storage, an extendable 8-way sunvisor and a prismatic IRVM. All-door power windows, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel with an illuminated logo, front cabin lamps, a second-row reading lamp and practical charging options like two front USB ports (Type-A and Type-C 45W) are part of the package.

Safety and convenience features are fairly comprehensive for the base trim. It includes six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ESP with 20 functions, rear parking sensors, central locking, a perimeteric alarm system, height-adjustable seatbelts and an electronic park brake with auto hold. There is also a 12V power outlet in the boot with a lamp, a puncture repair kit, an electronic temperature controller and a rear window sunshade. The Smart+ rides on 17-inch steel wheels.

Tata Sierra 2025 Smart+ colours

In total, the SUV is available in six colours -- Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Cloud, Munnar Mist, Bengal Rouge and Andaman Adventure. However, the Smart+ trim is available only in Pristine White, Pure Grey and Coorg Cloud colours.

Tata Sierra 2025 bookings and deliveries

Tata has already announced that bookings for the Sierra 2025 will open on December 16, while the customer deliveries will commence on January 15, 2026.
