Tata Sierra 2025 vs Hyundai Creta: Base variant price
As of now, Tata has announced the price of only the entry-level variant of the Sierra 2025. While the SUV starts at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom),
prices of the remaining variants will be announced next month. If you compare the Sierra 2025 with the Creta, the latter starts at Rs 10.72 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.20 lakh (ex-showroom), so far as its internal combustion engine (ICE) version is concerned.
Tata Sierra 2025 vs Hyundai Creta: Base variant powertrain
The base variant of the Sierra 2025 gets the new 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 106PS of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque. With this variant, you will get a 6-speed manual transmission. The Creta's base variant employs the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, which is good for 115PS of maximum power and 144Nm of peak torque. It is clubbed with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Tata Sierra 2025 vs Hyundai Creta: Dimensions
The Sierra 2025 measures 4,340mm in length, 1,841mm in width and 1,715mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,730mm, which is the best in the mid-size SUV segment. In comparison, the Creta is 4,330mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,635mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,610mm.
Besides, the Sierra 2025 has a 622-litre boot, while the boot capacity of the Creta is much lower at 433 litres.
Hyundai Creta: Mid-size SUV segment dominance
The
Hyundai Creta has led the mid-size SUV segment for a considerable period. In FY25, it topped the sales chart with 1,94,871 units sold in India. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara ranked second with 1,23,946 units, followed by the Kia Seltos at 72,618 units. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder stood next with 60,388 units.

The Creta has maintained its strong position in the current fiscal as well (April-October). However, models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Mahindra Thar Roxx have shown improved momentum.
In year-to-date domestic sales, the Creta has recorded 1,17,726 units. Its competitors trail it at a distance -- the Hyryder is at 56,754 units, the Thar Roxx at 47,765 units, the Grand Vitara at 47,402 units, and the Seltos at 41,085 units.
