Mercedes-Benz today launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector's Edition in India, priced at Rs 4.3 crore (ex-showroom). Only 30 exclusive units of the SUV, which has been designed specifically for India, will be available.
While bookings for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector's Edition have opened today, its customer deliveries will commence in the fourth quarter of the calendar year (CY) 2025. The SUV has been jointly configured by Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI).
At the heart of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector's Edition is the handbuilt 4.0-litre V8 BiTurbo engine, which delivers 585 bhp of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque. With ISG Boost, there is an additional 20 bhp and 200 Nm. The engine is mated to a Speedshift TCT 9G. The SUV is capable of reaching 100 kmph from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 240 kmph.
The exterior design of the SUV has two bespoke India specific colours, MANUFAKTUR Mid Green Magno and MANUFAKTUR Red Magno. Edition-specific personalisation features include a customised grab handle personalised with the customer's name. This is the first time an AMG G 63 edition features a personalised 'made to order' grab handle with the customer's name.
The Collector's Edition features a spare wheel cover with an Edition-specific logo plaque insert marked with "One of Thirty". In addition, the Collector's Edition features an exterior protective strip with embedded insignia and Collector's Edition branding. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets MANUFAKTUR two-tone nappa leather in Catalana Biege and Black, matched with an open-pore walnut wood trim.
"Hyper-personalisation is an emerging trend in the top-end luxury segment, as customers increasingly demand customised vehicles, distinguished by rare craftsmanship, exclusivity of appointments and elements of personalisation.
