Leading SUV player Mahindra said it is opening the bookings for all battery packs of the Electric Origin range of SUVs - the XEV 9e and BE 6 models - starting February 14.
The company has planned a 'structured' production ramp-up with timelines for each variant, after it said it had received an 'overwhelming' response from customers. Mahindra shared a timeline for each variant, with deliveries starting from mid-March till August this year.
BE 6 will be available in the range of Rs 18.90-26.90 lakh, while XEV 9e will be available between Rs 21.90-30.50 lakh. The prices quoted by the company does not include charger and installation cost, Mahindra added.
M&M has committed an investment of over Rs 12,000 crore into its electric vehicle business, and is setting up an all-new manufacturing line for EVs at the Chakan plant in Maharashtra, with an installed capacity of 1.2 lakh units per annum.
The BE 6 model is priced at Rs 18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e will have an introductory price of Rs 21.90 lakh, the company had announced. Read More.
Mahindra is offering the colour options of Everest White, Deep Forest, Tango Red, Desert Myst, Ruby Velvet, Firestorm Orange and Stealth Black on BE 6, XEV 9e models.
The SUV major has lined up institutional investor meets over the next few days, in the run up to the booking commencement, and will declare its December quarter results on February 7.
