The 1st of next month is gearing up to be a rather exciting day. First it was Samsung, who teased us with a ‘big’ upcoming announcement at their Berlin Unpacked event. In all probability, they will announce the GT-I9250, the successor to the Galaxy S II and also the rumoured Google phone, the Nexus Prime. HTC’s schedule seems to have clashed with Samsung as the Taiwanese giant is all set with four events spread across UK, France, Spain and Germany on the 1st of September, 2011. The company has refused to reveal any details about the event. However, recent reports suggest that HTC will announce two new WP7 devices running Mango at the event.

The most likely candidates are the HTC Eternity  and the HTC Omega. We heard whispers of the Eternity back in July, mostly about its massive 4.7-inch S-LCD screen, 8MP shooter and a 1.5GHz processor powering the device. The HTC Omega, on the other hand will bear similar specifications, but will have a smaller 3.8-inch screen. The HTC Eternity is also rumoured to be one of the first LTE-enabled devices for AT&T and is slated for a December launch. HTC may very well announce European versions of the phones under different names. That’s all for now. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more information hits the web.
