60,000 Facebook account logins compromised everyday

Security firm, Sophos, posted on its blog that more than 60,000 Facebook account logins everyday are compromised. This comes from figures released by the social networking giant itself, where it says that 0.06% of its one billion daily logins are compromised. In order to control these account compromises, Facebook's pushing a security feature where you prove your identity through your Facebook friends if you ever get locked out. You choose three to five of your trusted friends and if you've forgotten your password and don't have access to your email address, Facebook will send a code to your trusted friends who will pass on the code to you. However, a report in the past has shown how this trusted friends method can be used to hack into someone's Facebook.So perhaps the feature isn't that secure after all.Click here for full story
