The BMW Guggenheim Lab is traveling to Mumbai
The BMW Guggenheim Lab-a mobile project recognised by the UN as a noteworthy example that fosters community participation and discussion on urban issues-is making a stop in Mumbai, after New York and Berlin. Part think-tank and part community centre, the Lab aims to raise awareness about key urban issues.

The Mumbai stop of the Lab will include design projects, participatory studies, tours, workshops, film screening and cultural activities related to the idea of public space. It will explore the many ways in which people in the city of 20 million balance individual and community space.

The programme will have a central site at Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum, and have a network of satellite sites across the city. It will include students, grassroots activists, commentators, local organisations, and community groups.
