A marital dispute in Kuwait’s Salmi area ended in a fatal assault after an Indian man killed his wife inside their home, a crime that ultimately led to a death sentence.

According to a report by Arab Times Kuwait, the Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Nayef Al-Dahoum, sentenced an Indian expatriate to death after convicting him of murdering his wife. The incident occurred at the couple’s residence in Salmi, where ongoing marital tensions reportedly escalated into a violent attack.

Court records show that the accused struck his wife several times on the head with a hammer, inflicting fatal injuries that caused her immediate death. He was arrested shortly after the incident, following which authorities carried out a detailed investigation and referred the case to the Criminal Court for trial.

After reviewing the evidence presented and establishing the defendant’s guilt, the court pronounced the death sentence, the report said.

The case highlights the severe legal consequences of premeditated domestic violence and Kuwait’s strict judicial and law enforcement response.
