Thailand is set to make history in 2026 by becoming the first Asian country to host the world-famous Tomorrowland music festival. The Thai cabinet has approved a budget of 2 billion baht (approximately USD 61.5 million) to hold the festival annually for five years, highlighting the country’s commitment to positioning itself as a global hub for world-class events. Known for its spectacular stages, immersive performances, and international DJs, Tomorrowland’s arrival in Thailand marks a major milestone for Asia’s electronic dance music scene.

Tomorrowland Thailand: Dates and Venue

According to Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong, Tomorrowland Thailand will be held each year from 2026 to 2030. The three-day event will run from Friday to Sunday and is expected to draw EDM fans from across the globe. The inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand festival will take place in December 2026 at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi Province, a prime location within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

The festival grounds, spread across 99–138 acres (250–350 rai) in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi, are strategically connected to key transport hubs—just 45 minutes from U-Tapao International Airport and 90 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport. The area is well-prepared to host large-scale international events, offering over 3,500 hotels with 66,000 rooms, reliable utilities, and international-standard healthcare facilities located within 20–35 minutes.

Government and Private Sector Investment

In the first year, 10 million euros (around 400 million baht) will come from the government’s central fund, with the same amount allocated for the next four years.

The event will be organized by VR One World (Thailand), a joint venture between Thailand’s One Asia Co., Ltd. and Belgium-based Tomorrowland International, which owns the festival rights. The total estimated cost is 8.8 billion baht, with most funding expected from private investors.
