Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will implement a mandatory Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for all international visitors. This move is part of Thailand's ongoing efforts to modernize its immigration procedures, enhance security, and improve the overall experience for travelers arriving by air, land, or sea.
What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?
The Traditional TM6 arrival card used previously is being replaced with a new online form — the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). Travelers will need to fill out this digital form before arriving in Thailand. It collects essential information such as personal details, passport data, travel itinerary, accommodation address in Thailand, and a basic health declaration. This data will be integrated with Thailand's biometric database, allowing for more efficient security screening at immigration checkpoints.
The TDAC can be accessed and submitted on the official Thai Immigration Bureau website. Travelers are advised to complete the form at least 72 hours before their arrival. While assistance will be available at border checkpoints for those unable to submit the form ahead of time, it's strongly recommended to submit it before departure to avoid delays.
Thailand's charm — from bustling cities and beautiful beaches to vibrant markets and rich cultural experiences — makes it a top destination for travelers worldwide. With the introduction of the TDAC, the country is making its tourism experience even more seamless.
