IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory for Goa in light of ongoing rainfall in the state, warning of potential flight delays and disruptions due to inclement weather.
In a post shared on social media platform X, IndiGo said, "#6ETravelAdvisory: #Goa is experiencing rain, which may affect flight operations. Stay updated on your flight status via bit.ly/3ZWAQXd for the latest information."
The airline urged passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport and allow additional travel time as adverse weather may also affect local traffic conditions. “Owing to inclement weather and rainfall in Goa, flight operations may be subject to delays or disruptions,” the advisory read.
IndiGo also assured that its customer service teams remain available to support travelers. “Our teams remain accessible across all customer service touchpoints and are committed to assisting you at every step of your journey,” it added.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and wind gusts of 30–40 kmph at several places across North and South Goa.
N.P. Kulkarni, IMD Goa Station In-Charge, said, “We have given an orange warning for two days, and after that, we will shift to yellow warning. Today and tomorrow, we are expecting heavy to very heavy rainfall. We received about 70 mm rainfall over South Goa yesterday, which is in line with pre-monsoon patterns. We will continue to provide updates.”
Travellers flying in and out of Goa are advised to stay alert, check real-time flight updates, and factor in delays as weather conditions evolve.
